Hello my name is Rashael. I am 18 years old. I was brought into this world October 25th, 1997. I was born in Fort Hood, TX. I am the only girl (out of my siblings and I), I have two brothers. I am also the youngest. I use to be in competitive cheer-leading. I absolutely hated it.The reason because, is I did not like wearing all that makeup and glitter. I use to "accidentally" wipe my lipstick off, etc. I just didn't enjoy it simply because, i was forced into it! I hated smiling all the time for no reason, but I will admit I was pretty good at cheer-leading I just didn't enjoy performing every single weekend. I wanted to be a normal kid and just go to the mall, hang out with friends, etc. The only thing I really enjoyed about being on the team was that we got to travel all over the U.S. We went to finals (champions)  in Vegas, San Diego,California, just to name a few. Moving along,  I also am a former dancer. I really enjoyed dancing with my teams. I've been dancing since I was about 4 years old and just recently stopped, because I decided that it was time to start focusing on school. I was co-captain of my team last year. I really enjoyed that, because I was practically captain mainly because the captain didn't have as much experience so I lead the team. Also, I enjoyed being on the co-captain because I was able to meet other teams and see how they did things differently than we did, and also gave me different ideas on how to punish the team when needed, so that was exciting, What I mean by punishing, I mean like say as if they were too chatty, not listening to directions or even just simply because the director asked me to. We would either do planks, wall-sits, suicide sprints, stuff like that as a team for punishment.  It's obvious that my hobby is dancing, but I'll tell you what type since I haven't listed that. I enjoy doing: contemporary, jazz, hip hop, and musical theater. Contemporary dance is more of jazz, but its also is little more soothing like ballet only different. Jazz dance is a more of a funky, fun, and diva type. Hip Hop pretty much explains its self and is also fun, but you have to have a lot of attitude in order to nail a hip hop routine. Musical theater dance is more of  like telling a story you have to really act the part in order for it to look right. Dance has been my entire life that what makes my world go round, so without it I wouldn't be who I am.

  1. Rashael, I love that you focused your introduction specifically on your cheerleading and dance career so far. Good stuff. I literally laughed out loud at that bit about not wanting to smile all the time in cheerleading. You could probably guess that I am not a dancer, but I certainly could not be a hip-hop dancer because, like smiling all the time, having that much attitude would make me tired. Thanks for sharing.

  5. I understand where you are coming from with you wanting to be normal kid, because you did sports and it took all your time up. I wanted to be a normal kid and hang out with my friends. I did sports everyday and I could not hang out with them, but i miss playing sports everyday it was apart of me.

  9. Rashael,
I know that feeling I wanted to be normal kid, my parents sent me to football combines and All American camps. But I finally told them I just wanted to focus on studying for my business degree. So I understand where you coming from and also I have family in the Fort Hood area.
